Based in the Outer Banks of North Carolina, Laird Sager is the founder and president of Red Sky Travel Insurance and one of the most respected thought leaders in the vacation rental and resort industries. As an investor, banker, rental manager, general contractor, and now insurer, there is little about the industry that he doesn’t have hands-on experience with. He recounts his hurricane history like a roster of old uninvited friends, taking their destruction in stride, and leading him to a heartfelt appreciation for the challenges and concerns of vacationing guests and the VRM industry. A self-confessed workshop piddler, Laird is crazy about his daughters Liz and Ede, as well as UNC basketball.
