Mike Bohmer is Vice President of Revenue Management at TurnKey Vacation Rentals where he leads the development and deployment of technologies, algorithms, processes, and teams to maximize homeowner income. Mike previously served as Senior Director of Product and Pricing Strategy at Bazaarvoice, the leading customer reviews SaaS provider. Prior to this he was the Director of Pricing Solutions at Zilliant, an AI-powered pricing and sales growth solution for B2B companies. Mike earned his bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering from Oklahoma State University, and graduated cum laude from the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business.

Sarah Bradford

Sarah Bradford owns Winter Park Lodging Company and Steamboat Lodging Company with her husband, Chris. Both companies focus on higher-end luxury vacation rentals, and they are currently updating several to bring them out of 1999. Sarah also is the co-host of the popular professional vacation rental podcast, Sarah and T along with Tim Cafferty, owner of Outer Banks Blue and Sandbridge Blue.

Melanie Brown is the head data and GIS analyst for Key Data, the leading analytics and benchmarking company for vacation rental managers. Melanie is a newcomer to the vacation rental industry but has a strong background in data-driven decision making. She is excited to help property managers and destinations around the world better understand their data. Melanie lives in Atlanta, Georgia, and enjoys working out, hiking, and cooking.

Tim Cafferty

Tim Cafferty is the Owner and President of Outer Banks Blue Realty Services. He was born and raised in the hospitality and vacation rental industry starting his first job in 1970 carrying linens to the cars of incoming guests each weekend for his familyÕs business. Tim got his Masters in Journalism at UNC-Chapel Hill, returned to the Outer Banks, and began working again with his family at their vacation rental management firm. Tim learned all the aspects of the real estate business including sales, property management, and vacation rentals while he began his path as a REALTOR(R) and decided to open his own company in 2005.

Amber Carpenter

Amber Carpenter has been part of the vacation rental industry since 2003. With an early start in the operations and owner relations side of the business, she has spent most of her career on the technology side of the industry. In the last decade, Amber built and sold a web marketing company to Instant Software (now HomeAway Software), she was the VP of eCommerce for Wyndham Vacation Rentals, the Chief Marketing Officer of The St. Joe Company, and most recently was the VP of Product for NAVIS before transitioning back to consulting with global hospitality software teams and tech-enabled vacation rental companies in early 2019.

Arthur Colker

Arthur Colker is the Founder and CEO of StayFi, the #1 provider of WiFi marketing services for vacation rental companies. Vacation rental managers use StayFi to brand WiFi, collect guest data, and increase direct bookings – all while providing a better WiFi experience for vacation rental guests.

Arthur holds degrees from Columbia Business School and Georgetown University. Prior to founding StayFi, Arthur led digital marketing strategy at several start-ups and ran his own marketing and branding consultancy.

Sarah Franzen is the Director of Revenue Management for Natural Retreats, a leading luxury vacation rental management company in the US. She is a member of the VRMA and is honored to serve on the organization’s Education Committee. Prior to joining Natural Retreats, Sarah spent a decade in hotel sales and revenue management, working primarily with Hilton and Marriott brands. She holds degrees from the University of Minnesota (B.M., B.S.), San Jose State University (M.Mus.), and the University of Georgia (M.B.A.).

Sarah is an admitted nerd with a penchant for Excel and a proclivity for (color-coded) data analysis. In her spare time, she enjoys making music, reading classic literature, and eating copious amounts of snack food. She and her husband are empty-nesters and make their home in Charlottesville, Virginia.

Jeremiah Gall

Jeremiah Gall is a serial entrepreneur with a history of delivering great products to vacation rental managers over the past thirteen years. In 2006, Jeremy founded FlipKey.com, and grew the guest-review platform into one of the world’s largest vacation rental businesses before TripAdvisor’s acquisition in 2013. Jeremy is currently the Founder & CEO of Breezeway, a property operations & messaging platform that helps property managers automate their operations and service interactions. Jeremy has shared an in-depth analysis of the vacation rental market on national travel shows and publications and is a regular presenter at VRMA conferences, MIT, and Boston College.

Desiree Garcia

Desiree brings revenue management to the vacation rental industry! Leading the revenue management division at Streamline VRS, Desiree, a Johnson & Wales graduate, has watched the evolution of revenue management through the hospitality industry and emerging into the arena of vacation rentals and alternative housing. As a worldwide consultant, Desiree’s experience from limited-service hotels to European castles and over a decade of revenue management analytics has helped her create award-winning marketing campaigns and develop innovative designs in software for revenue managers. Helping companies grow to establish guest standards, rules and guidelines, operating procedures, and maximizing sales and marketing opportunities is what drives Desiree to expand to the vacation rental space. Ralf Garrison

Ralf Garrison is a destination travel industry veteran recognized as a thought leader and innovator. He is also a serial entrepreneur of various travel-related businesses that he has founded over the years.

Garrison creates a confluence of his research-analytics and storytelling in relation to destination resort communities and their tourism-dependent businesses. He enjoys helping those who are doing good work by reconciling the opportunities and challenges of resort town communities and their constituents. Prior to joining Escapia in 2015, Jim spent 13 years working in a 200+ unit North Carolina property management firm in a variety of roles, including IT management, marketing and real estate sales. Jim joined the Escapia sales team in early 2017 as Sales Engineer, leveraging almost two decades of industry experience to assist property managers in their software selection process. Cliff Johnson

Cliff Johnson is the Chief Commercial Officer at Rented.com where he leads the growth and revenue management teams by helping property managers optimize the revenue of the homes in their existing portfolio and execute on a sustainable growth strategy. Before joining Rented.com, Cliff served as the Co-Founder of Vacasa for almost a decade. He oversaw the expansion of the company’s portfolio as the COO and later served as the Head of International as they grew to become the largest vacation rental manager in the United States and expanded to 16 countries. In addition to his role at Rented.com, Cliff is an active attorney licensed in Colorado and California and he serves as a board member for Eugene-based nonprofit MAPLE Microdevelopment. Kelly McGuire

Dr. Kelly McGuire, Principal, McRevenue, LLC is an author and analytics evangelist. She recently served as senior vice president, revenue management, distribution, and direct marketing for MGM Resorts International, where she oversaw strategy and execution of revenue management, distribution and direct marketing for MGM’s Las Vegas resorts, and guided the selection and implementation planning for MGM’s revenue management and distribution technology roadmap. She is passionate about helping hospitality and gaming businesses infuse science into the art of hospitality with big data and analytics. She is the author of two books on analytics in hospitality, “Hotel Pricing in a Social World and The Analytic Hospitality Executive”.

Prior to joining MGM, Kelly served as vice president, advanced analytics at Wyndham Destination Networks where she led a team of scientists and developers that built custom analytical solutions for Wyndham’s vacation rental business, as well as the RCI exchange. Jim is CEO of C2G Advisors, LLC, a strategic consulting firm specializing in all facets of the hospitality industry, with special emphasis on short-term rentals and resort activities, he has been a leader in the hospitality, resort real estate, and development industries since the 1980s. The company also has a robust M&A operation, and has been responsible for more M&A deals within the vacation rental industry than anyone else in history. Jim provides litigation consulting in the areas of hospitality and business economic loss.
Previously, Jim was Managing Partner of The Sterling Companies, LLC, the President and CEO of ResortQuest International, and the President and CEO of Abbott Resorts and Abbott Realty.

Prior to joining Abbott Resorts, he served in various capacities within the tourism and economic development fields in Florida, beginning with the Florida Department of Commerce. Jim is a licensed real estate broker in Florida, Alabama, Mississippi and Tennessee, and has been appointed to numerous State level committees and task forces by previous Florida Governors and Secretaries of Commerce. Jim is a member of both the prestigious Counselors of Real Estate (CRE), and the Council of Real Estate Broker Managers (CRB) – he is one of only 8 persons currently invited to membership in both organizations simultaneously. Jim also has certifications from the National Association of Realtors as a Resort and Second Home Property Specialist (RSPS), and a Senior Real Estate Specialist (SRES). Heather Richer

Richer is currently Principal, Richer Logic Consulting and Board Member of the Association for Short-Term Rental Homeowners (ASTRHO). She served as CMO of RedAwning most recently, and prior to that, she served as VP, Revenue and Distribution at Kimpton Hotels and Restaurants. With a background in the hotel and short-term rental space, Heather has a broad perspective of the lodging industry and experience with revenue management across hotels, resorts, restaurants, and short-term rentals. Richer currently sits on the HSMAI Revenue Management Advisory Board. Having been involved with other organizations such as AHLA, HEDNA, and VRMA, she sees the value in education and the importance of advancing revenue management and the overall short-term and vacation rental industry. Maureen’s experience in various marketplaces has allowed her the opportunity to work with diverse types of inventory such as beach condos, mountain cabins, island homes, desert haciendas, and luxury villas. Her work with this diverse group of clients and products has provided her with insights into what it takes to be successful in unique marketplaces. And through this understanding, has established a process by which to support and educate property managers and their teams on creating a culture of revenue management in their businesses that will not only promote short term success but will provide them with a framework and road-map to long-term success and company growth.

Jason is currently the CEO of Key Data, a business intelligence and benchmarking dashboard used by over 400 of the leading vacation rental companies and resorts around the world. Jason is also an owner of 360 Blue, which manages over 600 luxury homes in the Florida Panhandle and Colorado, and a co-founder of The Sonder Project, an international non-profit whose mission is to strengthen communities through food security, clean water, and education. He has his real estate license in both NH and Massachusetts, and currently sits on the Board of Directors for NNEREN, the MLS body for NH and VT and on the executive Board for the Capitol Board of Realtors. He has participated in many real estate sales transactions and vacation, seasonal, long term and commercial rental transactions in the 20 years he has held his licenses. Finally he has acted as a tourism consultant including the set up of a Duck Boat business, adjunct professor of hospitality and tourism courses at Quincy College as well as taught seminars on revenue and asset management, social media, guerrilla marketing, segmentation and of course tourism for multiple chambers of commerce, VRMA and other tourism groups.

Anurag Verma

Anurag Verma co-founded PriceLabs five years ago to bring revenue management automation prevalent in airlines and hotels into the vacation and short-term rental industry. He has spent six years designing and improving revenue management algorithms and systems at United Airlines in Chicago while working closely with revenue managers and data scientists within the company. He has a PhD in Operations Research, and loves all things numbers.

Dawn Yeskulsky

Dawn’s extensive career within the hospitality industry started immediately after college with Paragon Group Properties in Tampa, FL, eventually becoming a Rental Manager overseeing 200 units in the Tampa Bay, FL area. In 1996 she left Paragon Group and spent the next 14 years as Director of Sales and Marketing for vacation rental software provider RNS, helping establish them as an early leader in the PMS space.

In 2010 Dawn joined Ascent Processing, most recently as Vice President, Business Development & Partner Programming, heading up the growth path for Ascent. She conceptualized and developed the very first vacation rental guest finance product while also creating and maintaining many partnership programs within the industry. She’s a well-known industry speaker and educator and serves on the Board of Directors for the Onsite Property Managers Association (OPMA).
